Surrender can hold vastly different meanings for each of us. Itโs our unique experiences that shape how we define this powerful word. But what does it really mean to surrender? To let go? To yield?
For me, surrender once felt synonymous with giving up, abandoning all that I was striving for and eagerly anticipating. The thought of surrendering seemed like forfeiting my dreams. But I have come to realize that this belief was rooted in past experiences, shaped by the lens of my own conditioning. I was so fixated on manifesting a future outcome that I lost sight of the present moment, the only place where true surrender resides.
Surrender is about embracing who we are in the now. Itโs about valuing our experiences as they are, seeing them as crucial information for our growth. Surrender is not about defeat; itโs about releasing the struggle with life and with ourselves. It certainly is an act of strength, not of weakness.
Surrender doesnโt mean giving up on our dreams. Rather, itโs about allowing what is within us to surface and guide us. Itโs trusting the process, letting go of resistance, and aligning with the flow of life.
So, what does surrender mean to you? How might embracing it elevate your growth to the next level?
As Eckhart Tolle wisely says, โAlways say โyesโ to the present momentโฆ Surrender to what is. Say โyesโ to life, and see how life starts suddenly working for you rather than against you.โ
